   Heikki Lotvonen, the current designer-in-residency at the Centre for         
   ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔                                                              
   Text Margins, will share about his process of developing seven new           
                                                            ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔           
   experimental digital design tools during the residency that all contribute   
   ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔                                            
   to his quest to make a book where he designs everything himself,             
          ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔              
   sidestepping the need for Adobe software. Starting from building             
                                                                                
   a font editor, to making a font with it, to making his own layout software,  
                                                                                
   Heikki shares his thoughts about the process, and how it all stems           
                                                                                
   from his background in ASCII art.                                            
                                                                                
                                                                                
                                                                                
   Heikki also invited Adel Faure to join him, as Adel might be the             
                       ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔                                               
   only person in the world who can claim to be a full-time ASCII artist!       
                                                                                
   Adel will talk about his contemporary ASCII art practice: designing          
                            ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔                     
   the ASCII art font jgs and developing ASCII art tools, which he uses         
                                                                                
   to make games, animations, illustrations and more. The event will finish     
                                                                                
   with a live coded ASCII art performance by Adel, which he performs           
                                                                                
   using his tool Textor.                                                       
                                                                                
                                                                                
                                                                                
   Heikki Lotvonen is a graphic designer and toolmaker interested in pushing    
   ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔                                                              
   the boundaries of text-based art and design. His practice is centered        
                                                                                
   around developing experimental design tools that are based on forgotten      
                                                                                
   and unconventional design methods and that attempt to reimagine some         
                                                                                
   fundamental paradigms of design and typography, offering alternatives to     
                                                                                
   conventional ways of making. Heikki is the current designer-in-residency     
                                                                                
   at the Centre for Text Margins (25/26).                                      
                                                                                
                                                                                
                                                                                
   Adel Faure is a French ASCII artist working with text and code to make       
                                                                                
   fonts, art, tools, games, music and performances. Motivated by an experimenta
                                                                                
   relationship with text-based interfaces and an interest in how tools         
                                                                                
   shape creation and culture, he brings back-to-life forms and practices       
                                                                                
   from a computing era considered obsolete, turning them into games,
